Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is an IV Infusion?
An IV infusion is an IV placed in to a vein to administer fluids, electrolytes, and minerals directly into the bloodstream. This allows to increased absorption of fluids, electrolytes and minerals because they bypass the digestive tract. When supplements are taken orally they have to be absorbed in the stomach and then transformed into useable forms by the liver. IV administration allows for higher absorption rates which then enables the body to optimally function.
  • Does IV Therapy hurt?
The RN inserts a a needle into the arm to get into a vein, this feels like a small pinch. Once in the vein the needle is removed and it is essentially a "bendy straw" that stays in your vein delivering the IV fluids and vitamins directly into your bloodstream. Once the infusion is over the straw is removed .
